From March 27–28, 2025, Lao Development of Human Resources in Rural Areas Association, in collaboration with the Association for Development of Women and Legal Education, organized VMC/VPA study tour event on access to justice under PIASVC project between from Xiengkhouang and Bolikhamxai provinces. Both sides exchanged insights from past training sessions and case studies in their respective target villages, highlighting the crucial role of mediation committees in strengthening communities. Through discussions on conflict resolution methods and advisory support for disputing parties, participants explored ways to find neutral solutions and foster long-term harmony.

On January 15, 2025, The Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities in Lao PDR Project (PIASVC) held its first annual symposium. The Symposium was honored to chaired by Dr. Leevameng Leebouapao, Deputy Director General of the Department of Land, Mr. Jesper Elias Lauridsen, Country Director of Helvetas Laos, and Mr. Markus Olavi Kukkonen, Land Specialist and PIASVC Project Team Leader at the World Bank. A total of 72 participants attended, representing central and local government agencies, international organizations, civil society organizations, and others
Village Focus International, a member of the Land Information Working Group and a sub-grantee of the The Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities in Lao PDR Project (PIASVC), hosted a festival to share lessons and experiences on village facilitators from Laongarm and Salavanh districts on December 11-12, 2024, at the Green Earth Center. The event was attended by a diverse group of over 238 participants, including government officials, provincial and district representatives, academics, civil society organizations, and villagers from 24 target villages.
