On December 11, 2025, the project Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities (PIASVC) in Lao PDR held a Annual Symposium at the Landmark Hotel in Vientiane Capital. The meeting featured a presentation on the results of the project's implementation over the past year, along with newly developed tools, such as the Field Facilitation Guide. This manual explains how to be an effective facilitator in organizing legal dissemination activities at the grassroots level. In addition, the event included a World Café group activity to brainstorm ideas among all participants after viewing a video showcasing the results of the project’s past activities. Following this, all participants had the opportunity to catch up a presentation on the benefits and features of the Legal Calendar, and listen to the advantages and watch videos for each topic of the 2026 Legal Calendar.
The closing session of the meeting involved brainstorming methods and ways to handle various challenges in using the calendar at the village level. This presentation on the use of the Legal Calendar to the grantees will open the door for them to be aware and prepare for the full use of the Legal Calendar. The project then plans to organize training for all grantees to strengthen readiness in terms of skills and methodology for developing land and natural resources work under the PIASVC project more sustainably.
