The PIASVC Project under Helvetas Laos, in collaboration with the Department of Land Administration and Management (DLAM) under the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, successfully completed a Training of Trainers for sub-grantee organizations and central and local government partners, and LIWG members with more than 45 participants in attendance
The training was conducted under the theme “Responsible Agricultural Investment and Contract Farming” following the revision of relevant decrees and new guidelines. It was held from 25–27 February 2026 at DoubleTree by Hilton, Vientiane Capital
This training provided an opportunity to review lessons from previous sessions and practical experiences in delivering training to local government partners. It also strengthened knowledge dissemination and community empowerment on key topics, including land law and rights, land use boundaries, and community land management
In addition, experts, investors, and relevant stakeholders were invited to share their lessons learned and practical experiences in implementing these approaches, broadening participants’ perspectives and enhancing their ability to apply the knowledge in project implementation Following presentations and group discussions to identify implementation challenges, each group conducted role-play sessions to summarize key lessons from the two-day training and received feedback from facilitators and session chairs
This training will strengthen the confidence and capacity of sub-grantees and government partners to effectively implement community-level activities and to further disseminate valuable lessons to target communities across six provinces nationwide
