Between 23 and 24 May, 2022, the Land Information Working Group in coordination with Helvetas Laos held a consultation workshop on Identifying Awareness Raising Materials and Tools to be used by the PIASVC project. This workshop was organized for those LIWG members who are sub-grantees of PIASVC project, and it was chaired by Violaine Fourile, International Coordinator of LIWG together with a co-chaired by Vorasone Dengkayaphichith, National Coordinator of LIWG. The workshop was facilitated in identifying materials and tools by Soukkasem and Phetsakhone.
Representatives from sub-granted organizations and representative from the government side which is the Department of Land (DoL) joined the workshop during these 2 days at the Lao Front for National Development Training Center. At the workshop, the facilitators made a room of effective conversations and exchanges between participants among the materials and tools collected from different organizations related to gender, social inclusion, basic land rights, and customary land tenure. Furthermore, there were sharing sessions of issues that the participants discovered when implementing activities at their project areas regarding to related topics for useful lessons-learnt and case studies to enable all participants be aware of and share their thoughts to those issues.
All participants paid strong attentions to the workshop and participated in identifying the materials and tools which will be developed and used by the sub-granted organizations to implement activities as regards of awareness raising in their project areas.
