Public Information and Awareness Services for Vulnerable Communities in Lao PDR (PIASVC) project brought together more than 20 representatives from our sub-grantee organizations for a special Sharing Workshop in Vientiane Capital.
More than a workshop, this was a moment to pause, reflect, and celebrate a journey that has connected communities, strengthened partnerships, and supported vulnerable groups across Lao PDR.
One of the highlights of the day was the creation of a collective "River of PIASVC" illustration, a powerful visual story mapping the PIASVC journey from its beginning in 2021 to its final chapter in 2026. Through this exercise, participants reflected on the project's key milestones, achievements, challenges, lessons learned, and the meaningful experiences that shaped its implementation. The River also represents resilience, collaboration, growth, and the shared commitment of everyone involved in making PIASVC a success.
Participants revisited moments of challenge, celebrated breakthroughs, and shared personal reflections on how the project has influenced communities and strengthened partnerships along the way. Together, they captured not only what was achieved, but also the relationships, dedication, and collective spirit that made those achievements possible.
This inspiring River of PIASVC will be featured during the Project Closing Workshop on 4 September 2026, serving as a powerful reminder of the impact created through collaboration and community engagement.
